The new neck shape yields maximum playing comfort so you can play this Stratocaster for hours on end. However, perhaps the most significant feature of the American Ultra is its 10” to 14” compound radius fingerboard. This makes playing at any point on the fretboard effortless, since it gets flatter the higher up you go, for easier bends and accurate soloing in the high register and a more substantial in-hand feel when playing chords closer to the headstock.

A few other playability enhancements of note are deluxe cast/sealed locking tuners (all with short posts) and all-new body contouring. Plus, the guitar’s HSS pickup configuration features two Ultra Noiseless single-coils and the added power of an Ultra Double Tap humbucker. And with S-1 switching that includes a treble bleed circuit, the tonal possibilities of this guitar are virtually endless.
