The Coyote Octave Fuzz delivers three distinct effects in one knob—swell, fuzz, and octave—based on a rare, lost circuit. Highly touch-sensitive with exceptional cleanup, it offers textures and response unlike any traditional octave fuzz. Read more.
This isn’t just another octave fuzz—it’s something entirely different. The Coyote is based on a rare, nearly lost circuit that doesn’t trace back to the usual suspects. No Octavia lineage. No Super Fuzz roots. No Tone Machine DNA. This thing stands on its own.
At Roxy Music, we see a lot of fuzz pedals come through the shop. This one immediately stood out—not just for the sound, but for how it responds to your hands.
The Coyote is a faithful recreation of the obscure Moonrock Fuzz, originally built by Glenn S. Wyllie—a reclusive builder who did everything himself, from sandcasting enclosures to designing a completely unique circuit.
What makes it special? A transformer used in a way we’ve never seen—shaping the feel and response of the fuzz rather than generating the octave. The result is a texture you simply won’t find anywhere else.
The heart of the Coyote is a single control that continuously sweeps through three very different effects:
Everything in between these settings is usable—this isn’t a switch, it’s a spectrum.
One of the most surprising things about the Coyote is how well it cleans up. Roll back your guitar’s volume, and the pedal becomes controlled and expressive—something that’s almost unheard of in octave fuzz designs.
