The Yamaha JR2 is a compact, 3/4-scale acoustic guitar modeled after the popular FG Series. Designed for portability without sacrificing tone, the JR2 is a perfect travel companion, beginner’s first guitar, or couch strummer. With a spruce top and mahogany-pattern back and sides, it delivers authentic acoustic sound in a comfortable size.
The traditional Western body shape, shorter 21 1/4" scale length, and slim neck make the JR2 easy to play for younger players or anyone who wants a more compact instrument. Finished with black binding, a tortoise-style pickguard, and gloss top, it has the classic Yamaha look and feel. A padded gig bag is included, making it road-ready right out of the box.
