The 2025 PRS S2 Special Semi-Hollow Reclaimed Limited Edition is one of the most unique guitars PRS has ever built. Using reclaimed and salvaged woods—some more than a century old—PRS created a limited run of 700 instruments that blend history, character, and exceptional tone.
This model features a Peroba Rosa top with visible character marks, Cuban mahogany neck wood salvaged from Hurricane Maria–fallen trees, and a Guaribu Preto fretboard once used as Brazilian structural timbers. Every top is left as natural as possible, giving each guitar its own story and personality. The satin nitro finish keeps the feel fast, open, and resonant.
Tonally, the S2 Special Semi-Hollow platform already delivers huge versatility, but the humbucker/Narrowfield/humbucker configuration with coil-tap mini toggles opens up twelve total pickup combinations—from single-coil sparkle to warm, vintage-voiced humbucker depth. The semi-hollow body adds breath and warmth, while the PRS Patented Tremolo and Phase III Locking Tuners keep everything stable and musical.
