The Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI is a vintage-inspired, six-string bass that’s tuned an octave lower than a standard guitar. Originally produced from 1961–1975, the Bass VI has been a secret weapon for adventurous players and producers alike. This Squier model captures that classic vibe with modern playability and reliability.
Featuring a slim, comfortable “C”-shaped maple neck with a 9.5" radius Indian Laurel fingerboard, the Classic Vibe Bass VI is easy to navigate whether you’re fingerpicking, slapping, or using a pick. Narrow-tall frets make string bending smooth and precise, while the 30" scale provides the right tension for octave-lower tuning.
This bass features three Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickups with a floating 6-saddle bridge and vintage-style vibrato. A 2-position slide switch activates the Bass-Cut “Strangle” circuit for added tonal flexibility, letting you dial in everything from deep low-end growl to tight, focused mids.
Every Squier we sell gets a free professional setup so it arrives ready to play. That’s part of the Roxy Music Promise.
