Product description

Yamaha LS6M ARE Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Yamaha LS6M ARE is a comfortable small-body acoustic-electric guitar built around a solid Engelmann spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Its concert body keeps the guitar approachable and comfortable while the A.R.E.-treated spruce top is designed to deliver a more open, seasoned acoustic character.

For players who want a guitar that feels manageable without giving up a full, musical response, the LS6M ARE offers a practical combination of body size, tonewoods, and Yamaha's SRT pickup system.

A Comfortable Concert Body

The LS6M ARE uses Yamaha's concert body shape, measuring 14 15/16 inches wide with a body depth of 3 15/16 to 4 3/4 inches. The smaller footprint makes it a natural choice for seated playing, songwriting, fingerstyle work, and players who simply prefer a more compact acoustic.

The 25 9/16-inch scale and 1 3/4-inch nut width provide a familiar full-scale feel while the traditional neck profile is designed with playing comfort in mind.

Solid Engelmann Spruce with A.R.E.

The solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with Yamaha's A.R.E. process. Combined with mahogany back and sides, this construction gives the LS6M ARE a warm, focused foundation with the added low-mid presence and open character Yamaha highlights for this model.

The result is a versatile acoustic voice that can work well for strumming, songwriting, fingerstyle playing, and everyday unplugged use.

Natural Acoustic-Electric Performance

When you need to plug in, the LS6M ARE uses a passive system with an SRT piezo pickup and a LINE OUT connection. There are no onboard controls, keeping the guitar's electronics straightforward and letting your amplifier or PA handle tone shaping.

Why It Matters for Players

A good acoustic should feel comfortable enough that you want to keep playing it. The LS6M ARE's concert body gives you a little less bulk than a traditional larger acoustic, while the solid spruce and mahogany construction provide the tonal range needed for more than just casual practice.

The SRT piezo pickup also makes it easier to move from the living room or writing room to a rehearsal, small performance, or amplified acoustic set without changing instruments.

Why Buy from Roxy Music

Roxy Music has been family-owned since 1939, and our staff includes real musicians who understand that the right acoustic guitar comes down to feel, response, and how the instrument fits the way you play.

We keep a curated inventory rather than trying to be a warehouse. If you're comparing acoustic body sizes, tonewoods, or pickup systems, we're happy to help you find an instrument that makes sense for your playing and your budget.
