The Martin 00-X2E Cocobolo brings the familiar Martin acoustic experience to a comfortable 00-size body that is easy to handle and versatile enough for a wide range of playing styles. Its spruce top delivers a balanced, articulate response, while the HPL cocobolo back and sides add a rounded bass and midrange presence. For players who want a comfortable guitar for songwriting, practice, fingerstyle, strumming, or performing, the 00-X2E is an easy instrument to live with.
The 00 body sits between a compact parlor-style feel and a larger traditional acoustic, giving you a useful balance of comfort, projection, and tonal fullness. The 24.9-inch scale and PA neck profile make the guitar approachable for beginners and experienced players alike, while the select hardwood neck and fingerboard provide a comfortable playing surface.
The spruce top provides the clear and balanced response players have come to expect from a Martin acoustic. Scalloped X-bracing helps the top project naturally, while the HPL cocobolo back and sides contribute warmth, bass, and midrange resonance. HPL construction also makes the guitar a practical choice for players who regularly move between different environments.
The 00-X2E is finished with tasteful Martin appointments, including Style 28 dot inlays, an abalone rosette, tortoise pickguard, matching cocobolo headstock veneer, and satin chrome closed-gear tuning machines.
When it's time to plug in, the Martin E1 preamp gives you useful control over your amplified sound. Volume and Tone controls make it easy to adjust the guitar for the room, while the Phase control can help improve bass response and reduce unwanted feedback. A built-in chromatic tuner also keeps tuning adjustments close at hand.
The 00-X2E makes a strong choice for players who want a comfortable acoustic that still has enough body and projection for performance. It works equally well as a songwriting guitar at home, a fingerstyle instrument, or a dependable acoustic-electric for playing through an amp or PA.
The combination of a spruce top, HPL cocobolo construction, comfortable neck, and Martin E1 electronics gives you a guitar that is straightforward to play and useful in real-world situations.
